The Welding Supervisor is responsible for overseeing welding operations in a manufacturing or construction environment. This role involves managing a team of welders, ensuring that welding projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards and specifications. The Welding Supervisor also plays a key role in training staff, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Strong leadership and team management skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Proficient in welding techniques and processes. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a welding program or apprenticeship is preferred.
- Relevant welding certifications (e.g., AWS, ASME) may be required or preferred.
- Proven experience as a welder, with several years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick, etc.) and materials.
