Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team in Qatar. The successful candidate will operate computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications. Key Responsibilities
- Set up, program (where applicable), operate, and monitor CNC machines (e.g., milling, turning) to produce parts per drawings and specifications.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T symbols, work orders, and routing instructions to determine tooling, feeds, speeds, and sequence of operations.
- Load and secure raw materials, fixtures, and cutting tools; perform tool inspection and breakage checks; replace worn or damaged tools as needed.
- Conduct in-process inspection using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision measurement equipment; document results and reject/nonconforming parts according to procedures.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish; make minor adjustments as required within standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to resolve production issues and implement process improvements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area; observe all safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times.
- Record production data, downtime, and maintenance activities; assist with preventive maintenance tasks as directed.
- Adhere to quality systems and document control requirements to ensure traceability of parts and processes.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (University-level; internship eligibility).
- Fundamental knowledge of CNC machining principles, tooling, and measurement techniques.
- Basic understanding of GD&T and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Proficiency with measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges) and basic quality inspection techniques.
- Willingness to learn CNC programming concepts and operator workflows; familiarity with FANUC, Haas, Mazak, or similar controllers is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to process documentation.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, and lift moderate weights as required by the shift.
- Eligible to work in Qatar with proper documentation and compliance with local regulations.
