Black & Grey HR is recruiting for a leading technology solutions and services provider in Doha, Qatar. Our client is looking to hire a Delivery Lead who will be responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of large-scale venue and event technology projects, from initial concept through to operational handover. The candidate will oversee planning, vendor coordination, risk management, and technical execution for stadiums, venues, and mega-events, ensuring solutions meet strategic, functional, and compliance standards.
Responsibilities:
Venue & Event Technology Delivery
- Manage the full lifecycle of Venue Technology projects, from concept and RFP preparation through vendor coordination, execution, and final transition to operations.
- Develop all formal project documentation, artifacts, integrated plans, and technical/functional specifications based on operational and engineering requirements.
- Direct project execution in coordination with vendors and internal project management teams.
- Support operations teams and event organizers in defining project scope, expectations, and requirements.
- Lead contract performance monitoring, ensuring compliance and client satisfaction throughout delivery.
- Manage all aspects of project risk, costing, and planning for Venue Technology.
- Develop strategy and architecture for core systems; monitor system verification, implementation, maintenance, and functionality.
- Validate installation and operation of AV/ELV systems against established standards, best practices, and compliance guidelines.
- Ensure thorough organization and documentation of all projects.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies for business potential and impact.
Delivery Resource Planning
- Manage and report on activities for all Venue Technology projects, providing regular updates to senior management.
- Participate in service level coordination meetings with vendors and external parties.
- Manage the Venue Technology Delivery team to ensure requirements are met, designs are compatible, and solutions meet standards and lifecycle cost objectives.
- Provide clear direction to team members based on project goals.
- Assume additional responsibilities as directed by management.
Requirements- 15+ years of relevant experience, preferably in consulting with exposure to multiple clients and domains.
- 10+ years specifically designing, implementing, and managing technology for SMART stadiums, venues, and mega-events.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional certification in project management.
- Proven experience with large-scale ICT & AV/ELV projects in sports venues or similar environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in reading and creating technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
