Responsibilities Develop structural design and fabrication drawings using Tekla Structures for ships, offshore platforms, and marine facilities. Create 3D models, layouts, and detailed steelwork drawings for fabrication and assembly. Ensure designs comply with classification society rules (ABS, DNV, Lloyd’s, etc.) and project specifications. Conduct structural analysis and calculations to verify strength, stability, and safety. Coordinate with naval architects, mechanical engineers, and production teams to resolve design issues. Revise and update drawings based on client feedback, site conditions, and project changes. Support preparation of as-built drawings and documentation. Maintain proper document control and drawing records.
Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Structural Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related field. Minimum 3–5 years of experience in structural design (preferably in shipbuilding or marine industry). Strong proficiency in Tekla Structures (modeling, detailing, and fabrication drawings). Knowledge of Auto CAD, Solid Works, or other design software is an advantage. Strong understanding of ship structures, steel fabrication, and marine engineering standards.
