Laboratory Technician- (Onshore):
Qualification: Minimum Diploma or B.S. in Chemistry
Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in Oil & Gas Production Chemistry Laboratory
Skills
- Collect representative samples such as gas, condensate, NGL, water crude oil, drilling fluids, cement from all field locations.
- Perform routine and non-routine laboratory and onsite analysis of crude oil, water, gas, solid/deposits, drilling fluids and cement samples by using standard method and procedures.
- Perform quality control program to ensure accuracy and reliability of analytical results.
- Maintain all records related to sampling process, analysis, instrument maintenance.
- Prepare standard solution and reagents used for analysis.
- Operate laboratory instruments used for laboratory analysis.
- Process and document the analytical results for timely reporting.
- Inform Laboratory In-charge about all material required sufficiently in advance in the laboratory such as chemicals and consumables to ensure no analytical service interruptions.
- Perform routine safety inspection and take corrective and preventive action immediately.
- Comply with all requirements in Quality Management System and participate in scheduled audit as required.
- Shall be competent, well trained and shall understand the technical requirements of the services.
- Shall be familiar with Oil & Gas laboratory safety.
