- Define and maintain the enterprise data architecture blueprint across data lakes, warehouses, lakehouse, and streaming platforms
- Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models for operational, analytical, and AI-driven use cases
- Architect cloud-native data platforms using Microsoft Azure services such as:
- Azure Data Factory
- Azure Data Lake Storage
- Azure Databricks
- Azure Synapse Analytics / Microsoft Fabric
- Design secure hybrid data architectures integrating on-premise systems with cloud platforms
- Establish and enforce data governance frameworks, including metadata management, data lineage, quality standards, and stewardship models
- Define data security and access control architectures, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with data engineers, solution architects, data scientists, and business stakeholders
- Review solution designs and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and best practices
Skills
10+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or Enterprise Analytics roles
Strong experience designing enterprise-scale data platforms in cloud and hybrid environments
Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure data services
Strong proficiency in SQL and solid working knowledge of Python
Deep understanding of:
- Data lakes, data warehouses, and lakehouse architectures
- Batch and real-time data integration patterns
Experience working within Oil & Gas, Energy, Utilities, or industrial environments
Experience with data governance frameworks, metadata management, and data quality tools
Exposure to OT / industrial data environments (SCADA, historians, IoT platforms)
Familiarity with OSDU™ Data Platform or industry-standard data models
Prior experience working on GCC or Middle East projects
Knowledge of DevOps, DataOps, or CI/CD practices
Azure certifications (Data Engineer / Solutions Architect)
