Job Purpose
- Oversee the planning, preparation, and execution of all aspects related to Hook-up and Brownfield (BF) activities and fabrication requirements of the project, ensuring all key objectives are achieved or exceeded.
- Ensure constructability of the design aligns with project engineering drawings and industry standards.
- Manage issue resolution through strong interfaces with both internal and contractor teams, ensuring full alignment of BF fabrication and hook-up execution.
Key Job Accountabilities
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols during fabrication.
- Lead delivery of hook-up and brownfield scope with minimal operational impact.
- Supervise contractor/subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with contracts and standards.
- Review constructability and technical compliance of engineering deliverables.
- Evaluate deviations from construction standards and ensure consistent documentation.
- Identify progress or quality concerns and recommend corrective actions.
- Review contractor progress reports and highlight critical issues.
- Liaise with contractors for structure, mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.
- Lead and contribute to risk assessments, pre-job meetings, and technical discussions.
- Participate in lessons learned activities and ensure implementation of previous project insights.
Skills
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sciences or Engineering.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years in large construction projects within the Oil & Gas industry.
- At least 2 years in a supervisory role or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
- Additional relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
Technical and Business Skills
- Knowledge of design standards, codes, and safety criteria for fabrication, transport, installation, brownfield execution, and hook-up.
- Familiarity with offshore/onshore facilities and yard operations.
- Understanding of execution methods and risks related to sour gas and LNG production.
- Experience in large-scale operating organizations across operations, projects, and subsurface disciplines.
