Linum Consult’s client is a major organisation in Qatar. They are seeking an Arabic-speaking Head of HSE with a background in the Oil & Gas or Real Estate industry to join their team in Qatar. RESPONSIBILITIES • Developing, monitoring, and refining the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures • Providing leadership and direction to managers of different departments and initiatives on all matters pertaining to HSE • Interfacing with internal stakeholders (HSE Managers, HSE Consultants, etc.) and ensuring the HSE agenda is cascaded down all functions of the company • Collaborating within and outside the company to develop and implement action plans to improve HSE performance • Tracking KPIs, ensuring that a logbook of indicators is maintained, and administering the HSE review process, and ensuring all departments maintain it as required

PROFILE • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or similar field, with a NEBOSH Diploma in OSH or equivalent • 6 years’ experience in an HSE role within the Real Estate or Oil & Gas industry • Excellent understanding of relevant HSSE industry regulations, Major Accidental Hazard Management (MAH), and environmental assessments • Familiarity with QCS, local and international HSE standards and established international codes and practices • Good knowledge of Qatari culture, with a strong background of working in the country • Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English and Arabic • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills • Due to our client’s ongoing commitment to Qatarization, our client’s first preference is to interview Qatari nationals for this opportunity.
