Job Description:
As a Civil Inspector, you will be responsible for surveillance and inspection of Civil, Structural and Building works associated with the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review construction plans, blueprints, and specifications to verify they meet all applicable codes and regulations.
- Perform on-site inspections at various stages of construction, including foundation, framing, electrical, plumbing, and final inspections.
- Identify and document any deficiencies or non-compliance issues and communicate them to the appropriate parties.
- Maintain detailed records of all inspections, including photographs, measurements, and written reports.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction professionals to resolve any issues or concerns that arise during the construction process.
- Stay up to date with the latest building codes, regulations, and industry standards, and apply them consistently during inspections.
- Provide guidance and advice to property owners, developers, and contractors on compliance requirements and best practices.
- Attend meetings with stakeholders to discuss the progress and status of construction projects.
- Ensure construction projects adhere to safety protocols and address any hazardous conditions in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Minimum 8 years of post-graduation experience in quality inspection of civil, structural construction and building works related to Oil & Gas industry major projects.
- Thorough knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and engineering standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in using inspection software and tools
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to construction sites as needed
