We are looking for a U.S. OR U.K. qualified and experienced Senior Legal Counsel with expertise in Real Estate OR Hospitality (Hotels & Restaurants). The ideal candidate will be a licensed attorney in either the U.S. or the U.K. and possess a strong background in an international law firms.
Responsibilities:
Legal Advisory:
- Provide expert legal advice and guidance on a broad range of real estate and hospitality matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, agreements, and legal documents related to real estate transactions, hotel operations, and other relevant areas.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay abreast of relevant laws and regulations impacting the real estate and hospitality industries in the jurisdictions of operation.
- Ensure the company's activities are in compliance with all applicable legal requirements.
Transaction Support:
- Participate in and lead legal aspects of transactions, including due diligence, negotiations, and closings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the development and execution of real estate and hospitality projects.
Risk Management:
- Identify legal risks and provide strategic advice to mitigate potential liabilities.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to manage legal risks associated with real estate and hospitality operations.
Dispute Resolution:
- Manage and resolve legal disputes related to real estate and hospitality matters.
- Work closely with external counsel when necessary.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal teams, including finance, operations, and management, to provide legal insights and support business objectives.
International Focus:
- Leverage international legal expertise to navigate complex legal issues arising from global real estate and hospitality operations.
Industry Knowledge:
- Familiarity with the specific industry in which the organization operates (e.g., real estate, hospitality)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Law.
- Master's Degree from U.S. OR U.K. is highly preferred.
- Admission to the bar in the U.S. or U.K.
- 10+ years of experience as a practicing attorney, with a focus on real estate or hospitality law.
- Prior experience in an international law firm is highly desirable.
- Prior experience as Legal Counsel or an associate role, preferably with increasing levels of responsibility.
