OBJECTIVE/ PURPOSE OF THE JOB
This role will be responsible for all customer portfolio and will lead the Sales Team to achieve set objectives, short and medium term. This role is the driver of operations in order to achieve the 100% product distribution across the region. The incumbent will be providing strategic leadership, coaching and direction to the sales team and will hold individual team member accountable to ensure high standards and proper execution is in place to delivering result.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for ensuring inventory levels as per the guidelines set for the business unit
- Liaises with the trade marketing team to ensure marketing plans and budgets are adhered to.
- Routinely observe market operations, troubleshoot issues with customers and address corrective action immediately and recognize successes.
- Conduct effective business review meeting with the team and share business status/achievement versus target, keeping everyone in the loop.
- Create a healthy argument and competition among team members and manage to strike a balance between mediocre and high performing team member
- Contribute division-wide strategic planning and the development of initiatives
- Ensure 24/7 stock availability
- Cautiously and efficiently manage stocks variances and generate relevant report for the management for review and recommendation
- Build strong team by identifying needs in the market and participate in recruiting, selecting and placement of team members
- Create annual business plan for the business unit and the team including tactics and strategies in alignment with the Division goal and objectives
- Accountable for ensuring positive and motivated work environment to ensure positive outlook among the team.
- Review customer feedback data and hold division meeting for update and initiatives to improve division performance for continuous improving scores and feedback.
- Provides inputs towards the operational aspect and the planning process within the business unit

- Provides management insights from knowledge acquired through multiple data sources such as ESSBASE, EPOS, market reports (AC Nielsen), to ensure forecast accuracy, ROI and devising key account plans and distribution
- Analyze market trends to provide inputs for new agency evaluations
- Coach and develop direct reports by providing necessary tools like SOPs, principal guidelines, training and up-skilling.
- Conduct performance review and evaluation and provide continuous feedback and development
- Create career development program to motivate the team and incentivize high performers
- Uses creativity in improving brand visibility and off-take within all trade segments
- Takes creative approaches in using existing resources in handling seasonal spikes
- Provide recommendation of innovative solutions to next level in order to facilitate change or improvement at a distribution process level
Skills
JOB REQUIREMENT
- BA or BS Graduate or any equivalent course
- Minimum 7 years of proven leadership experience with leading similar industry preferably from a multi-national FMCG business. Experience in the gulf and/or from a Principal is a definite advantage.
- Demonstrated leadership capability to build a strong teams and achieve business goals
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written English. Other language like Hindi and Arabic will be essential due to nature of business and market penetration for customers C and D.
- Proven negotiation and influencing skills
- Numerical skills with detail orientation
- Ability to manage fast-paced. High-volume, customer-focused through high level management supervision
- Excellent knowledge on Outlook, MS Office - Word, Excel and PowerPoint
