Job Summary
- The Senior Mechanical Project Engineer in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) operations is involved in overseeing mechanical projects, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations, and optimizing mechanical systems' functionality. They provide technical leadership, manage project teams, and coordinate with clients and stakeholders to deliver high-quality mechanical installations and contribute to the success of MEP operations.
Job Responsibilities 1
Lead the planning, design, and execution of mechanical projects, ensuring adherence to project specifications, codes, and standards.
Provide technical expertise in mechanical system design, including HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), plumbing, and fire protection systems.
Collaborate with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and develop comprehensive mechanical design solutions.
Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project progress, resolve technical issues, and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety regulations.
Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to procure materials and equipment necessary for project implementation.
Oversee the preparation of drawings, specifications, and project manuals.
Lead project meetings, communicate project status updates, and address any concerns or issues raised by project team members or stakeholders.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and project team members, fostering their professional development and growth.
Ensure the successful completion of mechanical projects, including commissioning, testing, and closeout, and facilitate the transition and maintenance.

Job Knowledge & Skills
Profound understanding of mechanical engineering principles, codes, and standards relevant to MEP projects.
Expertise in HVAC system design, plumbing layouts, and fire protection systems, with a focus on optimizing energy efficiency and sustainability.
Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation, to ensure successful project delivery.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively liaise with clients, stakeholders, and project team members.
Problem-solving aptitude to address complex technical challenges and adapt to evolving project requirements.
ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
