• Perform diagnostics and repairs on gasoline-powered vehicles, including engine, transmission, driveline, suspension, steering, body electrical and other mechanical systems.
• Use diagnostic and Special Service Tools for trouble shooting, analyze performance parameters and ensure accurate repairs are carried out.
• Maintain detailed records of all work performed and recommended service.
• Supervise and mentor junior technicians.
• Stay updated with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.

• Ability to use diagnostic tools to assess engine performance and identify issues such as misfires, poor fuel economy, and lack of power.
• Proficiency in interpreting data from engine control units (ECUs) and on-board diagnostics (OBD-II) systems.
• Expertise in diagnosing and repairing electrical issues, including wiring problems, battery faults, and alternator failures.
• Familiarity with using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic equipment to test electrical circuits.
• Skills in diagnosing fuel system problems, such as fuel pump failures, injector issues, and fuel pressure irregularities.
• Ability to perform fuel pressure tests and injector flow tests.
• Proficiency in diagnosing automatic and manual transmission issues, including shifting problems, fluid leaks, and clutch failures.
• Experience with transmission control module (TCM) diagnostics and repairs.
• Ability to diagnose and repair brake system issues, including ABS/TCS/EBD etc.
• Skills in using brake diagnostic tools and performing brake system pressure tests.
• Expertise in diagnosing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system problems, such as refrigerant leaks, compressor failures, and blower motor issues.
• Proficiency in using HVAC diagnostic tools and performing system tests.
• Skills in diagnosing and repairing emission control systems, including catalytic converters, oxygen sensors, and EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valves and other devices and interpret emission tests results.
Required Qualifications -
• Diploma in Motor vehicle engineering or similar equivalent to minimum IVQ / NVQ level 3 certification.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an automotive technician.
• Extensive knowledge of gasoline engine & vehicle systems and components.
• Dealer brand specific technical training certification.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication capabilities in English language.
