ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Technical:Deliver bow-tie diagrams with PFD values in line with OREDA standards.
- Ensure the soundness of solutions and recommendations on integrity and major risk assurance management.
- Represent the IMR department in field modification impact assessments.
- Provide accurate and reliable status updates on ongoing impact assessments.
- Promote integrity management assurance within the organization.
- Strategic:Support the Lead Integrity Engineering in defining and managing the overall strategy and direction of the product.
- Engage stakeholders and sponsors to refine and test requirements.
- Represent the business and users in the DPG taskforce, supporting product adoption, providing post-production support, resolving bugs, and managing user feedback.
- Maximize the value delivered by the product, including enhancing user experience.
- Tactical:Deliver the assigned use case in alignment with the statement of requirements and timeline.
- Collaborate across organizational boundaries and with external consultants and technological partners to develop digital solutions using agile methods.
- Involve people in change management and ensure alignment between IS and business entities during development phases.
- Support the Scrum Master in optimizing the squad team’s efficiency.
JOB DIMENSIONS:
The Product Owner supports the Lead Integrity Engineering and Digital Department within an agile squad of approximately six people, including direct hires, contractors, and external personnel such as technological partners or consultants.
- The role involves being the focal point for IMR performance reporting and methodology within client. Key responsibilities include:Engaging with transverse entities (field operations, engineering, projects, drilling, logistics).
- Functional coordination with peer engineers in Operations, HSEQ, Drilling, Projects and Construction, Logistics, and Planning and Development.
- Participation in industry-level events and Joint Industry Projects.
- Delivering the Safety Barrier Degradation Monitoring digital solution, developed through iterative sprints as part of the client Digital Project Group.
- ACTIVITIES:Review and update bow-tie diagrams for major accident scenarios, adhering to client standards.
- Develop bow-tie diagrams using Bowtie XP, assign PFD values, calculate risks, and compare results to client acceptability criteria.
- Represent the IMR department in field modification impact assessment sessions.
- Assess risks and equipment impacts associated with modifications.
- Support standalone integrity threat risk assessments.
- Chair HAZID, HAZOP, and LOPA workshops as per client standards.
- Conduct consequence analysis for leak scenarios using DNV PHAST software.
- Ensure the Development Team’s technical requirements are addressed, refine the Product Backlog, and optimize the team’s value delivery.
- Maintain continuous communication with stakeholders, ensuring alignment on the product’s vision and goals.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and user feedback to align business objectives with development efforts.
Skills
- QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Education: Engineering degree or Master’s, preferably in chemical engineering.
- Experience:
- 15+ years of experience, including 12 years in upstream oil and gas and 3 years in safety engineering and technical integrity within a large oil and gas organization.
- Familiarity with safety engineering industry standards and guidelines.
- Certifications: Functional Safety certified and HAZOP Leader preferred.
- Skills:
- Knowledge of scenario-based risk assessment (e.g., QRA, FERA, SECE identification, performance standards, bowtie development).
- Agile development experience and UX/User-Centered Design knowledge.
- Strong communication, facilitation, problem-solving, time management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Language: Fluent in English.
