About the role:

Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Crew Resources team as a Senior Business Analyst to be based in Doha, Qatar.

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for bringing insight to management through the creative and impactful use of business data. You will be responsible for measuring and articulating the performance of crew against KPIs to key stakeholders.

Specific responsibilities for the role include:

• Perform analysis of business data to support the review, forecasting and optimal planning of pilot and cabin crew resources.
• Build and maintain models to perform forecasting, statistical analysis, optimization, data simulation and machine-learning to streamline business processes, promote operational efficiencies, improve business outcomes and contribute to operational robustness.
• Generate key performance indicators, create dashboards, perform operational data analysis, present scenarios and recommendations to support informed decision making.
• Act as subject matter expert for Crew Resources, providing key inputs with respect to reports and data analysis, in support of core organizational functions and business processes.
• Research and benchmark competitive carriers, current practices and industry trends, to implement continuous improvement and generate crew resource related metrics with the aim of maintaining high standards.
• Create and present dashboard on operational data and generate key performance indicators of crew resources to assist management with informed decision-making and for monitoring performance.

Qualifications

About you

The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

• Relevant College or University qualification to a minimum Bachelor’s level in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field of study.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and minimum 3 years’ experience in Data Science role.
• Experience in applying statistics, advanced analytical methods, and operations research to solve business problems.
• Experience with top-tier BI tools such as Qlik, Power BI, Tableau.
• Understanding of Resource planning processes, theories and methodologies.
• Strong analytical, data analysis, data visualization and presentation skills.
• Strong business case writing skills and project management skills.
• Advanced level of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access) skills.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders.
• Excellent English communication (written and spoken) and presentation skills.
