Ground Handling Commercial Contracts Manager

About the Role

Analyze, Prepare and review all QAS Ground handling contracts under IATA SGHA format, ensuring maximum benefit and minimum risk exposure. Strategically implement the positioning of services, ensuring that the financial and operational performance of commercial contracts is in accordance with the company's guidelines. Carefully manage the billing process for services provided. Technically analyze all processes related to the execution of the contract not limited to Operations, Logistics, and Finance.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage and analyze the processes of QAS contracts; ensure attention to details and precision in the judgment of each clause. 
  • Research and process inquiries to resolve discrepancies relating to OA agreements, both internally and externally to present to Commercial and Marketing Manager for resolution. 
  • Responsible for developing and managing strategic contracts in accordance with the vision, policies, governance agreements, and QAS values. 
  • Develop and implement contract management and administration procedures in accordance with company policy. Draft new contracts observing all operational requirements and/or particularities. 
  • Read the execution of technical clauses and manage the negotiations to obtain the ideal cost for the result of value. Apply correct terminology defending the best interest of QAS taking in consideration customers’ needs at the same time. 
  • Responsible for developing the scope of services to support the bidding process as needed. 
  • Ensure that signed contracts are communicated to all relevant parties to provide visibility and awareness of the contract and assist in the interpretation to support implementation. 
  • Serve as technical support to both internal and external customers in contractual matters. 
  • Assure and establish QAS as an ethical contractor of services in a highly competitive Ground Handling market with fair price for exceptional service level. 
  • Interpret the customers Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and SLA requirements to ensure these are accurately captured in the contract and does not place QAS at risk. 
  • Interpret services required by each customer and evaluate the cost / reward benefits and consult with relevant internal stakeholders prior to agreement / contract signature. 
  • Support the customer’s request as necessary observing and following QAS guidelines at the same time to achieve the best customer services results for QAS. 
  • Secure all relevant data from different internal stakeholders and apply to the contract as necessary. 
  • Analyze in conjunction with Commercial and Marketing Manager, all aspects of the contract in order to make sure contracts are aligned with company standards and recommend corrective action as required. 
  • Conduct benchmarking and review the impact of ground handling service providers on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, in order to provide insight and propose better industrial practices in ground handling services. 
  • Obtain when required, extra human and financial resources to react to non-routine matters in order to support stakeholders 
  • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent 
  • Minimum 6 years of job-related experience
  • Interpersonal skills, networking, and strong working relationships. 
  • Strong communication skills, which closely ties with collaboration.
  • Continually monitoring, and auditing performance.  
  • Demonstrate a proactive behavior looking to exceed the customer expectations.
  • Ability to work independently, be resourceful and multitask even in the absence of management or between direct assignments. 
  • Ability to work productively and effectively under deadline pressure with all levels of management
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to possess the highest regard for confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization and the business community both verbally and written.
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor within a high-pressure work environment.
  • Detail-oriented, team player, motivated and disciplined
