The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services required for the organization, ensuring optimal quality, price, and delivery terms. This role involves collaborating with suppliers, managing inventory levels, and working closely with various departments to meet the organization’s procurement needs efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Sourcing and Purchasing:
- Identify and evaluate suppliers for quality, pricing, and delivery capabilities.
- Negotiate contracts and purchase agreements to secure advantageous terms.
- Issue purchase orders and track order fulfillment.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor stock levels and forecast future inventory needs based on sales and production trends.
- Ensure timely replenishment of inventory to prevent stockouts or excess stock.
Supplier Relationship Management:
- Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and identify new potential suppliers.
- Conduct regular performance reviews of suppliers and address any issues or concerns.
Market Analysis:
- Stay informed about market trends, pricing fluctuations, and new products to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Analyze spending patterns and seek opportunities for cost savings.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with the production, sales, and logistics teams to understand their procurement needs.
- Collaborate with finance to ensure timely payment of suppliers and adherence to budgetary constraints.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present procurement reports to management, highlighting key metrics and recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in the FMCG or non-food sector.
Skills:
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Contract length: 6 months
Pay: QAR6,000.00 per month
