As the business expands, we are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to be part of Qatar Airways Cargo’s Global Sales Team in Doha as a Lead Cargo Claims Officer.

Some of the tasks include:
- Oversee all formal cargo claims and complaints raised on consignment related non-conformances by customers are thoroughly investigated and processed within the set timeframe as per department KPIs.
- Responsible for management of database and maintaining reports / dashboards on cargo claims and consignment related non-conformances for analytical and business support purposes.
- Identify the service failures through investigations of claims / non-conformances and ensure it is highlighted to the respective Regional Cargo Management and Cargo Quality & Compliance team for necessary escalation.
- Analyze trends in claims and shipment related non-conformance and implement appropriate measures to prevent future occurrences through collaboration with Cargo NHPs and QR’s internal departments involved.
- Review and endorse approval / rejection of claim to the line manager and follow-up with Finance office on outstanding payments to customers and recovery of claims settlements from third parties that are responsible for the claim.
- Ensure timely processing of claim and prompt escalation to management of ground handling partners at outstations on delays in providing necessary information relating to cargo claims.
- Lead internal processes developments and system enhancement projects to elevate customer satisfaction
Qualifications
About you
- Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 4 years of experience in airline/cargo operations and cargo claims handling.
- Good knowledge of air cargo convention and IATA rules and regulations applied on air carriage.
- Proficiency in CROAMIS and MS Office
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to foster a culture of data- driven decision making
- Strong command of the English language
- Team oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment
