As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a key role in managing the procurement process to ensure the timely acquisition of high-quality materials and services at competitive prices. You will analyze operational and financial data to identify opportunities for improvement and foster strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include negotiating contracts, maintaining stock levels, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies.

  • You will also support the Head of Procurement in strategic sourcing initiatives and continuously seek ways to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the procurement function. This position requires a proactive approach to market research and supplier management, ensuring the organization remains competitive and responsive to its needs.

Skills

Develop knowledge of procurement processes and analyze data to recommend improvements.

Negotiate with suppliers for competitive pricing and delivery schedules.

Ensure timely procurement of materials and follow up with bidders for clarifications.

Coordinate the bidder short-listing and selection process with relevant departments.

Maintain records of purchases, including costs and inventory levels.

Assist the Head of Procurement in timely purchasing while ensuring quality.

Seek ways to improve product quality, pricing, and delivery.

Stay updated on market trends to anticipate price changes.
