SM Revenue Accounting & Cash Operations

About the Role
You will be responsible to manage QR Revenue Accounting (QRA), and Cash Office within GBS Sales to Cash service line. Ensure output results are in line with set policies, procedure, standards and internal controls. Play a role of a strategic partner for progress and development and responsible to lead and develop QRA teams to ensure smooth operations.
Responsibilities

  • Work as a strategic partner to Qatar Airways Commercial and provide full Revenue Accounting support for all initiatives in order to achieve Qatar Airways mission and vision.
  • Develop effective and efficient cash collection/cash banking strategies to increase control and reduce cost.
  • Develop Internal Accounting Procedures IAP & SOPs and ensure strict compliance.
  • Manage Revenue MIS team and ensure timely and accurate revenue reporting to various QR Internal Departments.
  • Responsible to deliver efficient and trusted service for overall Qatar Cargo Revenue Accounting activities and deliverables ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of Cargo and Postal Mail revenue accounting and month end closing.
  • Ensure processing tasks undertaken by the Business Processing Outsourcing (BPO) is in line with the agreed SLAS and KPls stated in the contract.
  • Review of budget for costs relating to Passenger Revenue Accounting unit
  • Conduct on-going reviews of Policy documents, Internal Accounting Procedures (IAP), Standard Operating procedures (SOP) and BPO Service Level Agreement (SLA) delivery and ensure that this are regularly update based operational and business need.
  • Bring continuous process and system improvement and leverage opportunities for automation to deliver efficient, trusted and cost-benefit sustainable service oriented towards Qatar Airways Cargo, Qatar Duty Free (QDF) and Qatar Aviation Services (QAS) future growth.
  • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

About you
Knowledge Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with minimum of 10 years of job related experience
  • Sales to Cash experience
  • Experience in managing Revenue Accounting unit in an Airline
  • Experience in managing projects/system change related to Revenue Accounting
  • Have prior understanding of in house or BPO processing 
  • Thorough knowledge of Revenue Accounting processes and systems 
  • Deep understanding in a control and process based working environments 
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels in the organization

    Preferred 
  • Experience in managing Cargo Revenue Accounting unit in an Airline 
  • Experience in managing projects/system change related to Cargo Revenue Accounting
