Job Summary
- The Stewarding Supervisor is responsible to oversee and coordinate the activities of the stewarding team to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and efficient operations within the kitchen area. They are responsible for managing the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas, as well as ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety standards. Additionally, Stewarding Supervisors may assist in training stewarding staff, monitoring inventory levels of cleaning supplies, and coordinating with other departments to support overall kitchen operations. Their role is essential in maintaining a clean and hygienic environment conducive to safe food preparation and service.
Job Responsibilities 1
- Supervise the stewarding team to ensure that cleaning tasks, including washing dishes, pots, and utensils, and cleaning kitchen surfaces, are completed efficiently and according to established standards.
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, and coordinate with the purchasing department to ensure timely replenishment.
- Train stewarding staff on proper cleaning procedures, equipment usage, and safety protocols, and provide ongoing guidance and support.
- Inspect kitchen areas regularly to ensure compliance with hygiene and sanitation standards, and take corrective actions as needed.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and food service teams to manage dishwashing schedules, prioritize tasks, and ensure smooth operation during peak service periods.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in storage areas, including dishwashing stations, chemical storage areas, and equipment storage rooms.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries, and ensure that staff members adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of stewarding policies, procedures, and training programs to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Handle any issues or complaints related to stewarding operations, and collaborate with other departments to resolve them in a timely and satisfactory manner.
- Prepare reports on stewarding activities, including equipment maintenance, cleaning schedules, and inventory levels, and provide recommendations for improvements.

Job Experience
Minimum 3 year(s) working experience, 2 year(s) relevant working experience, 2 year (s) GCC is a plus
