Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Project Sales Manager with proven experience in building and construction materials. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales strategies, managing key accounts, and expanding the company’s footprint in the construction sector. This role requires expertise in project-based sales, a deep understanding of construction materials, and the ability to foster long-term business relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve company sales targets and market share growth in the building and construction materials sector.
- Project Management: Oversee all aspects of the sales process for large-scale projects, from lead generation to project completion, ensuring that sales goals and project timelines are met.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, contractors, engineers, and key decision-makers to drive sales and identify new business opportunities.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify new trends, competitor activity, and opportunities for innovation in construction materials.
- Negotiation & Contracts: Lead contract negotiations with key stakeholders, ensuring profitable and sustainable agreements for both the company and clients.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as engineering, logistics, and marketing to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the company’s product portfolio, industry trends, and competitor offerings to effectively position and sell products.
- Reporting & Forecasting: Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and regular reports to management on sales performance, project progress, and market conditions.
- Customer Support: Provide after-sales support, addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues related to product delivery, performance, and quality.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project-based sales, specifically in building and construction materials (cement, steel, concrete, insulation, etc.).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification in Sales Management is a plus.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the construction industry, with an emphasis on material specifications, procurement, and supply chain management.
