Located in the former Ministry of Interior building, The Ned Doha offers seven restaurants, 90 bedrooms, event venues, and Ned’s Club, a private members’ club that gives access to spaces including a rooftop terrace, a health club with spa, gym and 30m outdoor pool.
Job Purpose:
The IT Officer will be responsible for managing the hotel’s IT infrastructure, supporting staff and guests with technical issues, and implementing technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily IT operations, including network, server, and hardware management.
- Provide technical support for staff and guests, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and backup protocols are followed.
- Assist in the installation and configuration of new systems and technologies.
- Monitor and optimize network performance to ensure seamless connectivity for guests and staff.
- Collaborate with external vendors for service maintenance and upgrades.
- Train staff on new technologies and software applications.
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in IT support, ideally within the hospitality sector.
- Strong understanding of networking, server management, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Proficient in Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a customer service orientation.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco) are advantageous.
