The Sealine Engineer executes the design calculations and prepares the deliverables for the client, relevant to Subsea Pipeline Design.
Main Tasks
- Act as Project Specialist Leader (PSL) or Project Specialist (PS) for Subsea Pipeline Design
- Perform all discipline analyses, technical report, specifications, and drawings required to design the pipelines system and relevant components.
- Verify subcontracted engineering.
- Prepare technical specifications and requisition for material and services purchasing.
- Oversee the bid evaluation and procurements phases.
- Ensure an adequate standard of technical documentation and contribute to updating Company standards.
- Review Client's technical documentation and requirements.
- Prepare technical qualifications and contribute for the definition of the technical proposal while bidding for EPCI contracts.
- Contribute to update and improve the department tools for Sealine Engineering.
- Contribute to maintain the excellence in Sealine Engineering.
- Contribute to the definition, implementation, and improvement of the department quality system.
- Contribute to the standardization and definition of procedures for the department working process.
Technical background and skills
- Mechanical Engineer, Civil Engineer, Ocean Engineer
- Senior profile (+8 years, if possible),
- Experience in Offshore O&G and Subsea Design
- Consolidated experience in Subsea Pipeline Design including the disciplines listed below:
Mandatory Disciplines (the candidate shall be familiar with at least 3 of them)
Pipeline Mechanical (Wall Thickness) Sizing
On-Bottom Stability Analysis (OBS)
On-Bottom Roughness Analysis (OBR)
Free-Span Analysis
Expansion Analysis
Subsea Intervention Works
Pipeline Crossing
Material Take-Off (MTO) and Material Requisition (MR) Preparation
Spool and Riser Design
Optional Disciplines (one or more will represent a plus in candidate evaluation)
On-Shore Approach Design
In-Service Buckling and Pipeline Walking Analysis
Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Capabilities
Advanced Analysis (Dynamic, Impact, Failure Mechanisms)
Flange Design
Experienced in coordination of a small team of engineers and designers,
