Technical / Risk HSE Coordinator

Overview

The Technical / Risk HSE Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and implementing health, safety, and environmental risk management strategies within project teams.

This role involves assessing potential HSE risks, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company standards, and promoting a safe working environment.

The Technical / Risk HSE Coordinator works closely with engineering, operations, and HSE teams to identify hazards, conduct risk assessments, and develop mitigation plans to minimize risk exposure.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate HSE risk management activities, including risk assessments, hazard identification, and analysis of potential impacts on project execution.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HSE risk management procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant safety standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Monitor and report on risk management activities, including the effectiveness of mitigation measures and compliance with safety performance indicators.
  • Provide technical support in the identification and evaluation of HSE risks during project planning, design, and execution phases.
  • Collaborate with project teams to integrate HSE risk management strategies into overall project planning and execution processes.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure that risk control measures are effectively implemented and maintained.
  • Facilitate HSE risk training and awareness sessions for project personnel, enhancing the team's understanding of risk management practices.
  • Participate in incident investigations, analyzing root causes, and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Prepare and present HSE risk management reports, including recommendations for continuous improvement of HSE performance.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety Management, Environmental Science, or a related field.

Certifications / Specialization / IT Skills

  • Certification in Risk Management, such as Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP) or equivalent, is .
  • Proficiency in risk management software, HSE tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Years Of Experience

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in HSE risk management, with a focus on technical and project risk assessments, preferably in the oil and gas or construction industries.

Technical Knowledge

  • HSE Risk Assessment and Analysis: Strong knowledge of risk assessment methodologies, hazard identification techniques, and quantitative risk analysis applicable to project environments.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Industry Standards: Familiarity with international HSE standards (e.g., ISO 31000, OSHA) and regulatory requirements, with proven experience in implementing HSE risk management strategies in line with industry best practices.
