About the role:
As Merchandiser you will be responsible for maintaining product availability on the shop floor and merchandising products from stores to sales floor. Prepare transfer journals from warehouse to the stores and sub-stores based on the sell through to maximize sales opportunity.
Key accountabilities include:
- Regularly visit the shop floor to check stock availability and merchandising standard, execution of merchandising operational standards to the highest level in respective areas.
- Prepare and process all Transfer Journals to move stock from one location to other based on stock level requirements ensuring sufficient stock is available for sales.
- Prepare appealing displays of various products to enhance the shopping experience for the customer to increase sales.
- Inspect and maintain an accurate price ticketing and shelf-edge label system to provide customers with clear and concise information on the product and price.
- Communicate and provide feedback through the Merchandising officers to Buyers and Retail Manager on a regular basis to ensure smooth flow of stock and any issues are resolved promptly.
- Organize the shop floor and sub-stores for all stock-counts to ensure the counts to proceed smoothly and to obtain accurate results.
- Assist Merchandising offices to prepare weekly/monthly merchandising reports for further analysis to improve business results in merchandising area.
- Responsible for adherence to all security, legal and company requirement.

Qualifications
About you
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:
- Diploma or Associate Degree or equivalent.
- Experienced - minimum 4 years of job-related experience required.
- 2 years of Retail Merchandising experience.
- Merchandising, planograms or shipping/receiving experience.
- Creative thinking skills
- Good written and spoken communication skills
- Organizational skills
- Planning skills
- Project Management skills
- Time management skills
- Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team member.
