Procurement Manager

Place Vendome Qatar is looking for a seasoned Procurement Manager to lead and manage all facets of our procurement operations.


Scope of Work:

The Procurement Manager is responsible for managing the procurement process, from sourcing and purchasing goods and services to negotiating contracts.


Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

General:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies, policies, and procedures in alignment with company goals.
  • Create and execute procurement plans that support organizational objectives.

Supplier Management:

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers.
  • Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to ensure optimal value.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues.

Procurement Process Management:

  • Oversee procurement activities from requisition to delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to meet procurement needs.

Cost Management:

  • Manage procurement budgets and seek cost-saving opportunities.
  • Monitor procurement expenditures and implement cost-saving initiatives.

Inventory Management:

  • Oversee inventory levels and stock control.
  • Ensure timely procurement of materials and supplies to prevent shortages or overstocking.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks.
  • Develop contingency plans for supply chain disruptions.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead and manage the procurement team.
  • Provide training and development for team members.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and offer constructive feedback.

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, spending, and supplier performance.
  • Analyze procurement data to make informed decisions.


Job Specification:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • CIPS qualification is required.

Experience:

  • 8-10 years of full-time GCC work experience, with at least 5 years managing multi-site and multi-vendor Facilities Management projects.
  • Previous experience in the Facilities Management sector is essential.
  • Familiarity with Qatar's supply chain procedures and import regulations within the GCC.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proven experience in supplier and contract management.
  • Ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and manage budgets.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Knowledge of Qatar's procurement practices and legal requirements.
