Lead Technical Storekeeper

About the role:

 

Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Flight Operations team as Lead Technical Storekeeper to be based in Doha, Qatar.

 

As a Lead Technical Storekeeper, you will be responsible for providing and maintaining proper storage and controls of spares, consumables, tools equipment, supplies and other technical materials related to flight simulator training devices and daily technical engineering supplies ensuring the compliance with rules and regulations of Qatar Airways and other government agencies.

 

Specific responsibilities for the role include:

  • In charge of the ITC technical services store containing spare parts and consumables used by the Qatar Airways simulator engineers.
  • Actively participate in binning, pre-loading, receiving and dispatch, issuing, transferring of aircraft/simulator spares and materials, tools and equipment to support device maintenance and shop activities.
  • Update the warranty trackers for the repaired parts received according to the engineer’s input.
  • Perform regular store counts and presenting the extract to the manager simulator maintenance.
  • Verify, review and report discrepancies noted in the inventory system to maintain reliability and accuracy of information.
  • Ensure compliance with QR/QCAA, and OEMs requirements for storage and handling of aircraft spares and materials, tools and equipment within bounded and quarantine Stores with respect to cleanliness, storage condition, environment control, ESDS handling, shelf life and batch control, handling of dangerous goods. Ensure serviceable and unserviceable spares and tools are segregated, traceability is established.
  • Coordinate with clearance of shipments, perform initial checking and receiving, raise appropriate documentation, and update the Inventory Oracle tool in conformity with the receiving procedures and inspections requirements.

Qualifications

About you

 

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:

  • Relevant college or university qualifications with a minimum of 3 years job relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of airline’s computerized inventory controlling system.
  • Knowledge of spare parts and equipment will be highly desirable.
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Basic Microsoft Office knowledge (especially Excel and Word).
  • Good English language skills, both verbal and written.
  • Flexible, great team player with good interpersonal skills.
