As a Bond Duty Officer, you will be responsible to oversee the day to day activities within the Department. Assess various operational requirements and effectively allocate resources within the department. You will be in charge of monitoring the product inventory and movements and implement effective stock control measures if needed. You will look after the accuracy in product packing and documentation. Responsible for performance monitoring and improvement initiative implemtation.
To achieve success in this role you will need to:
- Support the implemtation of policies and procedures related to the Bond Stores operations per shift to ensure well organised and safe workimg environment within the department.
- Oversee and assess the resources required for specific tasks and ensures its optimization.
- Conduct regular meetings with internal customers to discuss improvement plans to fix operational challenges.
- Ensure that all changes of galley loading plans and packing specifications are updated in internal Systems and applications so that correct items are packed and loaded in the aircraft.
- Forecast plans and requests airline equipment & products for effiecient operations of the Department.
- Implement procedure to track and monitor expiry dates of all products and ensures first in first out methodology is applied to optimise the product usage and avoid wastage due to product expiry.
- Ensure that the team adheres to HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), ensuring that the equipment is washed and cleaned regulary as per Food Safety Requirements.
- Regularly track and implement the industry's best practices for flight sets packing, ensuring that operational levels are optimized cto fulfil the required output and provide suggestions on recycling & packing techniques to increase productivity and lower wastage.
- Ensure Voyage Report (VR) feedbacks are checked, answered and briefed to the whole operations team on a daily basis to avoid recurrence of identified issues.
- Review performance, identifies gaps, work out solutions to those problems, and motivate subordinates to work more effectively. Exerts the effort necessary to attach Organizational goals and brings out the best in employees.
Qualifications
You should have at least High School Qualification or University Qualification to min Bachelor’s Level with minimum 4 years of job-related experience preferably within Airline / Volume Catering Unit.
It is preferred if you have had experience in a medium/large flight catering unit leading a team of Operations staff.
