Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to lead our Hospitality Investment Fund as the Director of Hospitality Investment for Emerging Markets. This role requires a deep understanding of Emerging Markets, specific focus on the hospitality and real estate sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the fund's portfolio, identifying new investment opportunities, and driving the overall strategy for growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement the overall investment strategy for the Hospitality Investment Fund, aligning with the company’s goals and market opportunities within the Emerging Markets hospitality sector.
- Lead the fund's expansion efforts by identifying and evaluating new investment opportunities, including acquisitions, developments, and joint ventures.
- Drive the execution of high-impact investments in line with market trends and the fund’s strategic objectives.
Market Expertise:
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of the Emerging Markets hospitality market to identify and capitalize on emerging trends and opportunities.
- Maintain strong relationships with key Emerging Markets hospitality and real estate stakeholders, including developers, operators, and government entities.
Portfolio Management:
- Oversee the management of the fund’s existing portfolio, ensuring optimal performance and return on investment.
- Regularly assess and adjust the portfolio strategy based on market conditions, asset performance, and risk factors.
- Lead the negotiation and structuring of investment deals, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Financial Oversight:
- Develop and manage the fund’s financial plan, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Monitor the portfolio's financial performance, ensuring alignment with the fund’s targets and investor expectations.
- Provide regular updates and reports to the board of directors and investors on the fund’s performance and strategic initiatives.
Team Leadership:
- Build and lead a high-performing team of investment professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, encouraging professional growth and development.
- Coordinate with internal and external partners to ensure the successful execution of the fund’s strategy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in investment management, with at least 5 years focused on the Emerging Markets hospitality and real estate markets.
- Proven track record of successfully leading investment projects and managing portfolios in the hospitality sector.
- Deep understanding of Emerging Markets, including regulatory frameworks, economic trends, and industry dynamics.
- Strong financial acumen, with experience in financial modeling, valuation, and performance analysis.
- Excellent negotiation and deal structuring skills.
- Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
