The Senior graphic designer develops the overall layout and production design for various applications such as for advertisements, brochures, magazines, and corporate reports. The candidate should typically do meeting with clients or with the art director to determine the scope of a project. An important contact point in an agency, so they can expect to be offering advice, solutions and sharing knowledge with colleagues, use high level of expertise to deliver and encourage creative concepts to meet briefs and expectations.
Qualifications And Experience
- 2-5 years as Graphic Designer
- Bachelor’s degree/higher diploma in Graphic Design. Very good working knowledge of Adobe Suite programs and OS X.
Skills
- Excellent ability to follow and translate instructions from Art Directors into enticing visuals.
- Strong ability to understand production specifications and to assimilate creative directions from Art Directors.
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Fleshing out the Art Directors visual ideas and executing their creative concepts using different design techniques and software
- Having a thorough understanding of your assigned Client’s brand guidelines
- Keep updated on the development of the Client’s guidelines, visual identity, competitors’ designs etc.
- Executing design graphics and layouts for a variety of different products, such as print executions, exhibitions, events, corporate identities etc.
- Receiving briefs from the Art Director and delegating tasks to junior colleagues
- Keeping computer files organized and up-to-date
- Maintaining a thorough understanding of our regular Client’s brand guidelines
- Reading and understanding production specifications, and requesting missing information if needed
- Communicating with supervisors and peers to interpret their creative visions and output needs
- Presenting your designs to the Art Director, and improving your designs based on their feedback
- Informing the Creative Lead of any changes in deadlines, deliveries, or approved creative directions
- Clearly marking unapproved designs as such to avoid confusion
- Positively mentoring and directing junior colleagues
- Participating in team meetings and brainstorming sessions
- Working according to established policies and procedures
- Integrating into the team and contributing to a positive, inclusive, work atmosphere
