Key Responsibilities:
- Report to Cargo Supervisor.
- Operate, maintain, and control cargo systems (e.g., heating coils, inert gas, ballast valves, crude oil washing).
- Operate cargo pumps and crude oil wash machines as directed.
- Manage tank filling and discharge by controlling ullages, temperatures, and oil samples.
- Perform first-line maintenance of pump room equipment.
- Assist mechanics and welders working in the pump room or on the cargo system.
- Ensure equipment and system compliance with safety standards, including isolation and permits to work.
- Support offloading operations and participate in fiscal metering and sampling system maintenance.
- Maintain safe working practices and participate in emergency response activities.
Skills
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Pumpman on crude oil tankers or 1 year as an Engine Room Fitter with experience in overhauling pumps and valves.
- FPSO experience is desirable.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of cargo system operations and safety protocols.
- Mechanical aptitude, particularly in maintaining cargo-related equipment.
