About the Role

An exciting opportunity to join the Qatar Airways Group Medical Department as Manager Project Management Operations. The role Serves as subject matter expert for managing projects within QR Medical Division while managing day to day activities of assigned division projects . The role is key in resource and portfolio management of multiple projects to meet the division objectives and support VP Medical Operations in making the right project prioritization and workload decisions.

Your duties would include:

  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of PMO frameworks, processes, and best practices to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to prioritize projects that support the strategic goals of the organization.
  • Ensure the delivery of all healthcare, business, and IT transformation projects in liaison with key stakeholders.
  • Responsible for managing IT projects of significant complexity and may manage projects with significant
  • interdependencies with active projects or existing systems.
  • Program/Project Planning- ensure appropriate timing, resourcing and sequencing of work efforts are aligned to produce the desired project result within a given period of time
  • Develop and manage new and ongoing projects under the strategic direction of Medical Director and VP Medical Operations, focusing on the integration of business functions.
  • Provide status reporting to C-Suite, ITG, VP medical Ops , Division leadership and Division/Facility project leaders on a prescribed cadence
  • Oversee division deployment project schedules to minimize intra-project conflict and facility activity conflict
  • Manage relationships to accomplish the activities and to lead annual, strategic year end planning for the division.
  • Mentoring and/or training new project managers

Qualifications

We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional to join our Group Medical team. The ideal candidate should possess the following:

  • Relevant College or University qualification to min Bachelor's level with minimum 8 years relevant experience.
  • Project management experience at an advance level
  • Experience managing senior stakeholders
  • Post graduate or professional qualifications in Project Management
  • Project Management experience within the healthcare sector would be an advantage
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is preferred
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with ability to prioritize tasks are required.
  • Should be excellent at communicating effectively to Senior Stakeholders up to C-Level and Division leadership.
  • Professional experience in Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Excel, Work, and PowerPoint) and Project
  • Management Software is required
  • Familiarity with healthcare information systems and project management software is a plus
  • Experience Implementing methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma for process optimization is required
  • Data Analytical skills and knowledge of tools like PowerBi & SPSS would be an advantage
