Job Summary
The Electrical Technician is responsible for operation, monitoring, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing substation and other electrical systems to company standards.
Qualifications: Degree/Diploma in Electrical or equivalent technical certificate in Electrical trade.
Experience: 6 years of relevant experience in operation, testing and maintenance of substation equipment's and other electrical systems.
Knowledge of fault finding and techniques.
Key Accountabilities
- Apply skills and knowledge and ability to ensure target production throughtout rate or objectives are safely executed in line with section plan, KPIs, companys values and IMS system.
- Demonstrate work behaviors consistent with company values and work within company policies, standards, procedures and any legislative requirements.
- Adhere to health, safety, security and environmental policies, procedures, instructions and controls for the safety of self and others.
- Demonstrate proficiencies in operation and maintenance of LV electrical systems and substation LV equipments.
- Assist Supervisor and Engineer in preparation of Root cause analysis reports.
- Identify defective components and parts and communicate this to Supervisor and Engineer.
- Read technical drawing, work orders and maintenance schedules to determine product or job instructions and specifications.
