Export LC Officer

Role Objective:

The Export LC Officer is responsible for the timely processing of Export Letters of Credit (LCs) and Outward Bills for Collection, ensuring compliance with bank regulations and UCP guidelines. This role involves verifying documents, providing support throughout the process, and maintaining records for audit compliance.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Banking, Finance, or related field.
  • Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 5-8 years of experience in the financial services or banking industry, particularly in trade finance operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Export LCs and ensure compliance with regulations and bank policies.
  • Review and verify terms of received Export LCs.
  • Ensure adherence to audit and compliance controls, particularly regarding AML.
  • Input LC data into Core Banking Systems and manage related documentation.
  • Dispatch LCs and amendments to beneficiaries and foreign banks.
  • Maintain organized filing of all Export LC documents.
  • Liaise with archives for record management and retrieval.
  • Uphold confidentiality and professional integrity in all operations.
  • Prepare reports and handle any ad-hoc assignments as needed.
