About the role
As a Cargo Network Compliance Officer, your main tasks will include monitoring and improving compliance within Qatar Airways Cargo's network, including stakeholders and suppliers. You will also be responsible for addressing queries related to performance monitoring. Furthermore, you will need to identify network performance issues regarding cargo compliance and live animal transportation and collaborate with stations to resolve these issues in order to meet organizational goals. Additionally, you will be expected to lead all involved parties in establishing a culture of performance indicators and continuously improving operations.
As part of your role, your additional responsibilities will include, but not limited to, the following:
- Identify network performance non-compliance/process deviations related to cargo compliance and live animal transportation, address them, and work with stations to resolve them to achieve the organizational goals
- Manage live animal transportation occurrences and non-conformance database by always being up-to-date
- Prepare and monitor compliance irregularities performance trends and address compliance deviations with regions and management
- Conduct live animal investigations, risk assessments and verify non-conformances reported in SMS
- Ensure that recommendations, preventive and corrective actions for live animal investigations are logged and followed up on, and that reports are published and closed on time
- Prepare the cargo emergency response procedures meticulously, ensuring they are comprehensive and effective and support cargo emergency response functions in case of aircraft accidents/incidents
- Conduct business impact analysis (BIA) and business continuity plans (BCP) with internal and external stakeholders
- Liaise with the necessary relevant sub units of the cargo department and external service providers, including GSA and GHA, to resolve issues through effective communication in a timely and efficient manner
- Monitoring and controlling the implementation of required quality, safety, security and/or service standards throughout the network for safe cargo operations
- Coordinate closely with internal Qatar Airways cargo units to ensure that performance is not just according to Qatar Airways policies and service levels, but also reflects the integral role they play in cargo operations
Qualifications
About you
We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional to join the QR Cargo.
- Minimum qualification of High School/Diploma/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is essential
- 2+ years of job-related experience
- Work experience in the airline cargo industry (cargo warehouse and ramp operations)
- Knowledge on emergency response processes, business impact analysis and business continuity plans
- Preferably with working knowledge in incident investigation and conducting risk assessments for cargo special products
- Knowledge on end-to-end cargo process flow, cargo systems and CIQ milestones.
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Advance skills of MS Office products and business analytics
