Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing and analyzing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The Accountant will play a crucial role in handling all areas of accounting, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting audits, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.

Responsibilities:

Financial Transactions:

• Record day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Verify, allocate, pt, and reconcile transactions.
• Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
•  Support month-end and year-end close process
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Communicate effectively with clients.
• Contribute to a strong client relationship through positive interactions with client personnel.

Financial Reporting:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Summarize and analyze financial information to provide insights into business performance.
• Ensure financial reports comply with accounting standards and regulations.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor and analyze budget variances and report findings to management.

Bank Reconciliation:

• Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of all banking transactions.

Auditing:

• Assist in the preparation and coordination of internal and external audits.
• Provide documentation and explanations for audit inquiries.

Tax Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
• Prepare and submit tax returns as required.

Financial Analysis:

• Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Identify trends, advise the company, and recommend actions to management.

Process Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial and accounting procedures.
•  Implement changes to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations.

Communication:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial information.
•  Communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.
• Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or Masters in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
• Experience with Accounting software is a must, preferably QuickBooks.
•  Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements and periodicals
• Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles.
• Awareness of business trends.
• Experience with creating financial statements.
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of relevant accounting software.
