Role Purpose: As a Senior Manager in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), you will lead a team of professionals responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive GRC frameworks. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our clients adhere to regulatory requirements, manage risks effectively, and maintain robust governance structures. Your expertise will be crucial in advising clients on best practices, mitigating risks, and enhancing compliance programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development:
- Develop and execute strategic plans for GRC services, aligning with the firm’s objectives.
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Governance, Risk and Compliance advisory space
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, industry stakeholders, and key decision-makers.
- Assist in the preparation of technical and financial proposals, engagement letters, and marketing materials.
Project Execution:
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to clients, helping them navigate complex transactions and achieve their business objectives.
- Ensure the highest standards of quality and accuracy in all deliverables, adhering to industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Lead advisory mandates spanning governance, risk, and compliance.
- Proactively identify and pursue new deal opportunities through networking, market analysis, and targeted outreach efforts.
- Build and maintain a robust deal pipeline, leveraging industry relationships and market insights to source high-quality transactions aligned with client objectives.
- Cultivate and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor and strategic partner in their business endeavors.
- Provide expert advice to clients on GRC matters, helping them navigate complex regulatory environments.
- Develop tailored GRC solutions that meet clients’ specific needs and challenges.
- Deliver high-quality reports, presentations, and training sessions to clients and stakeholders.
Governance:
- Assess and improve clients’ governance frameworks, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Advise on board composition, roles, and responsibilities to enhance governance effectiveness.
- Conduct governance reviews and recommend improvements to policies, procedures, and controls.
Risk Management:
- Identify, assess, and prioritize risks across clients’ operations.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies and frameworks to mitigate identified risks.
- Conduct risk assessments, audits, and reviews to ensure compliance with risk management policies.
Compliance:
- Design and implement compliance programs to ensure adherence to local and international regulations.
- Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and update compliance frameworks accordingly.
- Conduct compliance audits and investigations, reporting findings and recommending corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CA, CIA, CISA, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in governance, risk, and compliance roles, preferably within a Big4 firm.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices in GRC.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
