Key Responsibilities:
- Inspection & Diagnosis:
- Inspect diesel engines and related components to identify problems and determine repair needs.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot engine performance and electrical issues.
- Maintenance & Repairs:
- Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and system checks.
- Repair or replace faulty parts, such as fuel injectors, turbochargers, and transmission components.
- Rebuild or overhaul diesel engines as required.
- System Checks:
- Test and calibrate diesel engine systems to ensure proper operation.
- Verify the performance of exhaust systems, fuel systems, and cooling systems.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Document findings and recommendations for further action if needed.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures while working with diesel engines and related systems.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards.
- Customer Service:
- Communicate with clients or operators to understand issues and provide technical support.
- Offer recommendations for improvements or preventive maintenance to enhance engine performance.
- Tool & Equipment Maintenance:
- Maintain and organize tools and equipment used in the repair and maintenance of diesel engines.
- Ensure that all tools and equipment are in good working condition.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with advancements in diesel engine technology and repair techniques.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
