Position Summary
The position is responsible for conducting psychological assessments and performing required interventions to ensure student health and wellness.
Job Responsibilities
- Implements programs to evaluate, address, and monitor student’s mental health and personal and professional development.
- Monitors and assesses existing mental health conditions of students, including but not limited to crisis intervention, relationship management, learning difficulties, mood disorders, professionalism, adjustment to campus, etc.
- Conducts psychological assessments, maintains confidentiality, provides evaluation reports, and timely referrals.
- Performs academic skills assessments and coordinates appropriate assistance for students with specific learning needs.
- Assists with student programs and services and coordinates with WCMC-Q faculty, staff, and affiliate partners, including WCMC-New York, Cornell University – Ithaca, Hamad Medical Corporation, Sidra and Qatar Foundation as required.
- Supports in developing and implementing student health and wellness programs, collaborating with various internal teams to ensure smooth delivery.
- Supports the development and maintenance of policies and procedures manual, ensuring compliance and consistency in area of operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills
Education & Experience
- Master’s degree (M.A., M.S., M.Ed.) in clinical or counselling psychology with 5 – 6 years of experience in psychological assessment counselling promoting mental health and well-being.
- Licensed professional to conduct psychological assessment and counselling.
- Prior experience in healthcare education or higher education setup is highly desirable.
