Ancillary Sales Officer

We are launching recruitment for the role of Ancillary Sales Officer within our Global Sales team.

As an Ancillary Sales Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the Ancillary Development Manager in day-to-day operation and support sales staff with ancillary queries for all QR sales channels. In addition to that, part of your role will also involve tracking and monitoring the ancillary products revenue, as well as system testing.

As part of your daily responsibilities, you will also:

  • Ensure the integrity of Qatar Airway’s ancillary strategy by feeding into ancillary best practices and governance, assisting other departments with understanding and adherence.
  • Provide end-to-end process and system level testing for process automation.
  • Work closely with Manager Ancillary services, providing accurate and timely reporting on project stream, including escalation of risks and issues where required.
  • Make sure all business processes are being documented, communicated to required parties and understood to ensure audit compliance. Maintain ancillary policies and procedures.
  • Understand relative requirements of developers, aggregators, agents and GDS connections, in order to translate commercial, legal and technical requirements into appropriate language.

Qualifications

About You

A successful candidate should possess the following experience and qualifications:

  • Minimum qualification of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is essential.
  • At least 4 years of experience supporting development of ancillary products.
  • Good business understanding of airline ticketing and EMD issuance policies, as well as Amadeus reservations systems and E-Commerce sales fulfillment process
  • Knowledge of Ancillary services, current and future products and technologies that are shaping within this space.
  • Understanding of systems and technology in business; ability to communicate technical concepts in a tailored way.
