About the role


We at Discover Qatar aim to provide and sustain 5-star standards in customer services and to achieve Sales & Revenue targets by employing effective processes to provide quality holiday consultation and service through the team of holiday consultants.

 As an Airport Operations Coordinator, you will be providing assistance and tour services for QR passengers who use DQ products (airport transit tours, hotels, car rental, city tours) and also to promote Qatar as a premium tourism, to ensure that all customer related services (Sales, Bookings, Operations, and Customer Service) are delivered as per the standard operating procedure and guidelines.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Provide support to the Team on daily tour and airport operations in terms of liaising with all external parties (Immigration, QAS, Airlines and Suppliers) - build positive relationships with other internal departments and external agencies where applicable) to work cooperatively in processing all customer requirements and provide quick instructions to the team on operational aspects as and when needed.
  • Assisting in sales and collect payments from the customers as per the Standard Operating Procedure. Stay updated about all the DQ products list and maximize all sales opportunity with the customers.
  • Send updates about the transit tours to all the relevant stakeholders (Hub Control, information desks in HIA etc.)
  • Ensure all team members are appropriately groomed and maintain highest level of hygiene when on duty, report any deviation to the set grooming standards to the Airport Operation Officer on duty and initiate corrective action.
  • Coordinate Airport Operations as per Standard Operating Procedures [SOP] relevant to DQ, including but not limited to conducting team meetings to discuss issues faced by team colleagues, try to find immediate solutions and report/escalate issues to the Duty Manager DQ Airport Operations.
  • At all times, actively participate and interact with customers to understand needs and attend to special requests and be prepared to "go the extra mile" in order to make a memorable experience for all DQ (Discover Qatar) customers.
  • Establish a confidential filing system for all correspondence generated to and from the DQ Airport Operations Team, categorize and maintain customer database.
  • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department

Qualifications

We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional with:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of job-related experience
  • A Diploma in Travel & Tourism (IATA) would be an advantage.
  • High level of customer service skills
  • Presentation and negotiation skills.
