About the role
We are recruiting for Aircraft Mechanic within Workshops having Machinist and Welding experience to be based in Doha, Qatar.
 
You will be responsible to perform all required work in accordance with approved technical data, Qatar Airways standards and procedures; meeting the highest shop practices and safety to provide operational results as set by the unit. You will also be responsible for the completion of any assigned tasks within frame work of procedures and set timeframes by performing effectively within an environment of time constrains and a high level of technical competency.
 
Specific responsibilities for the role include:
•    Responsible for the completion of assigned tasks to provide satisfactory service to customers.
•    Operate equipment or tooling relating to work area to meet time frame objectives for tasks.
•    Interpret information over a range of normal activities to maintain satisfactory continuous operation.
•    Accountable to comply with the company health and safety policy.
•    Ensure aircraft component rectifications are accomplished in a timely manner, to the defined QCAA/EASA PART-145 requirements and in accordance with the desired quality standards.
•    Ability to demonstrate the required skills to operate CNC milling and lathe machine in reputable aircraft maintenance environment/MRO. 
•    Ability to adhere to safety and operating instruction based on manufacturing instructions
•    Ability to follow airworthiness instruction to ensure compliance
•    Ability to satisfactory demonstrate aircraft component TIG welding principles in accordance with BCAR and AWS.

Qualifications

About you
 
The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
•    Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 3 years of job-related experience in Machinist or Welding.
•    Knowledge of workshop fundamentals and related skills to his area of employment.
•    Ability to demonstrate, operation principle for CNC lathe machines.
•    Good understanding and well conversant with the use of machine tooling and fixing. Additionally, knowledge of standard tooling is mandatory.
•    Good knowledge of TIG welding basics on Aluminum ,Titanium, Nickel and Corrosion & heat resistant steel alloys.
•    Controlling operation of equipment or systems.
•    Understanding written instructions in work related documents.
•    Excellent communication skill (speak/read/write) in English.
