Job Summary

Commercial bank Financial Services is hiring a Market Making Trader will be in-charge of Market Making; (MM) Strategies and Trading Algorithms based on market characteristics with respect to the assigned list of securities in the Qatar Exchange. He should develop the appropriate strategy for sponsored MM as well as for proprietary MM within the set guidelines. Analyse stock price movement and overall market, sector and identify trading pairs. He is required to independently manage the MM desk in adherence to CBFS policies and procedures and in full compliance with the regulatory regime.

 

Key Accountabilities

•   Trade and manage risk of specific MM trading products. Day to day responsibility of liquidity provisioning as per the agreements with Issuers.

•   Design and present MM trading scheme for potential Clients.

•   Apply advanced statistical techniques to trading and use analytical problem-solving skills to develop new trading tactics.

•   Understand all trading techniques thoroughly and utilise them be benefit of company

•   Operate within trading limits and risk parameters set per security and for overall MM business 

•   Achieve targets set within defined trading size, spread, time and quantity. 

•   Balance P&L with Head of Brokerage and Finance Officer on a daily basis in order to calibrate orders for the following day. 

•   Tally MM trading with QE records and evaluate the value at risk on daily open positions, Daily calibration of positions to be bought/sold in the selected securities, vetted by the Head of Brokerage and Finance Officer. 

•   Daily reporting of positions, marked to market valuation and value at risk to Head of LP & MM, Finance Officer and Compliance Officer.

•   Ensure adherence to legal, compliance and risk management policies and internal procedures. 

•   Review all securities transactions to ensure that trades conform to applicable regulations and CBFS policies and procedures. 

•   Ensuring that 'Chinese Walls' are strictly maintained with the trading desk. 

•   Abide by the Policies and Procedures developed for maintaining the Information Security for the CBFS and shall take on active responsibilities in achieving, managing and maintaining the ISO 27001 standard 

•   Ensure high standard of confidentiality and ethical trading to safeguard client and organization's best interest.
