ICS Cyber Security Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated ICS Cyber Security Technician to join our team in Doha, Qatar. As an ICS Cyber Security Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our industrial control systems (ICS) and protecting them from cyber threats. You will play a crucial role in identifying vulnerabilities, implementing security measures, and responding to any security incidents.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct regular assessments and audits of our ICS infrastructure to identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities.
  2. Implement and maintain security controls and measures to protect our ICS systems from cyber threats.
  3. Monitor and analyze network traffic and system logs to detect any signs of unauthorized access or malicious activities.
  4. Develop and implement incident response plans to address security incidents and minimize the impact on our operations.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that security policies and procedures are followed and regularly updated.
  6. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in ICS cyber security.
  7. Provide training and guidance to employees on security best practices and awareness.
  8. Conduct investigations into security incidents and breaches, and provide detailed reports and recommendations.
  9. Coordinate with external vendors and partners to implement and manage security solutions.

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in ICS cyber security or related field.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  3. Strong knowledge of industrial control systems, including SCADA, DCS, and PLC systems.
  4. Experience with network and system security tools, such as intrusion detection systems and firewalls.
  5. Knowledge of ICS protocols, such as Modbus, OPC, and DNP3.
  6. Understanding of ICS cyber security standards and frameworks, such as NIST SP 800-82 and IEC 62443.
  7. Ability to conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration tests using industry-standard tools.
  8. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  10. Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment.
