Roles & Responsibilities

A Secondary Science / Values Education Teacher is responsible for teaching Science and Values Education subjects to junior or senior high school students in accordance with the Philippine K 12 curriculum and the standards of Qatar s Ministry of Education and Higher Education. The teacher develops students scientific understanding, critical thinking skills, ethical behavior, and personal values in a learner-centered and multicultural environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Science subjects such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and General Science (depending on assignment)
• Teach Values Education subjects focusing on character formation, ethics, and personal development
• Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, activities, and assessments aligned with curriculum standards
• Conduct classroom instruction, laboratory activities, experiments, and values formation discussions
• Develop students scientific inquiry, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Promote discipline, respect, responsibility, and positive behavior among students
• Assess and monitor student performance through quizzes, projects, laboratory work, and examinations
• Maintain a safe and well-managed classroom and laboratory environment
• Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies into instruction

Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Secondary Education major in Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or related field
• Additional background or training in Values Education, Character Education, or related field is an advantage
• Valid PRC Professional Teacher License
• Preferably with teaching experience in secondary education
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to work in a multicultural educational environment
• Full-fledged Master s Degree holder in Education
• At least two (2) years of experience as a classroom teacher
• 45 years old and below
• With less than 40 hours of absences

Desired Candidate Profile
