A leading Construction Project is hiring for Senior Computer Aided Design Technician
Qualification:Diploma in Engineering Technology (any discipline) Trade certification in a relevant discipline (ITI) Certification and/or demonstrated proficiency with 2D drawing development in Auto CAD, Micro Station, Smart Sketch or similar. Exposure to drawing development and production from a 3D model is desirable5-7 years relevant work experience, 2 of those in leading one or more draftsman in a project environment
Responsibilities:Analyzes and adheres to the project CAD standards. Plan and deliver all drawings required for the Submission and handover of a particular project. Well-versed in drafting requirements and design standards. Prepare accurate engineering CAD drawings from sketches or markups. Produce field sketches as required. Contribute to the development of departmental/project procedures for drawing management, change control, revision control, checking, naming, and storing of electronic & hardcopy drawings. Apply these practices in your own work and ensure that they are applied by others. Interpret and ensure the application of project specific drawing development conventions. Carry out the drafting of complex electrical, instrumentation and mechanical services. Liaise with relevant team members to clarify ambiguities in drawings. Work with different drawing/model formats. Perform Self checks of own work and the work of others to guarantee accuracy and minimize reworks. Make plot files, configure, and operate the plotter, plot, and trim drawings. Participate in departmental meetings and/or Project meetings, technical reviews, safety reviews if required. Enhance technical drafting Knowledge and inter-personal skills. Assume other reasonable duties as may be required by the company from time to time.
