Qualifications

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in marine department, Nautical Science, Naval Architecture, or Maritime Studies. Advanced certifications or diplomas in Shipping/Maritime Management are advantageous. Professional licenses such as Master Mariner or equivalent as per flag state requirements. STCW (Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping) certification mandatory. ISM Code / ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 awareness or certification. Marine Safety & Environmental Management training. Leadership and Management Courses for maritime professionals are a plus. Advanced Ship handling / Navigation / Cargo Operations Training preferred.
