Qualifications & Experience Minimum education: Higher Secondary school (or equivalent), Trade Diploma / Technical certification — preferably in Mechanical / related field. Valid third-party certification or approved rigging-supervisor certification (e.g. as per local regulatory / certifying body) — for example certification under TÜV SÜD (or equivalent), or certification approved by major clients (e.g. Qatar Energy). Minimum of 8–10 years of hands-on rigging / heavy-lifting / rigging operations experience; of which typically at least 3 years in a supervisory/lead role. Proven experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Heavy-industrial projects. Offshore and/or marine heavy-lift experience is often mandatory for offshore project assignments. Strong knowledge of rigging gear, load calculations, lifting procedures, offshore crane operations, and relevant industry / safety standards. Excellent leadership and team-management skills; ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams under pressure and maintain high safety standards. Good command of English (spoken and written). Knowledge of additional languages (Hindi / regional languages) may be beneficial depending on workforce composition.
