OVERVIEW
Key responsibilities of the Interior Designer include visualizing and sketching design plans based on client goals, sourcing products and materials, determining costs, and inspecting construction to ensure design specifications are met. The Sr. Interior Designer will meet with clients and represent the company, oversee day-to-day tasks, and follow up with teams on design and work progress.
- DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Search for projects and bid on new projects.
- Represent the company in meetings and presentations.
- Conceive and sketch design plans per the client’s goals and requirements.
- During the budgeting stage, determine the project needs and completion cost.
- Establish a deadline for finishing the project.
- Create plans that reference sources and products.
- Make "mood boards" to showcase design ideas.
- Ensure the client's objectives have been accomplished.
- Consider how the space will be used and how people will move through the space.
- Sketch preliminary design plans, including electrical layouts, etc.
- Specify materials and furnishings, such as lighting, furniture, wall finishes, flooring, etc.
- Prepare final plans using computer applications/software.
- Place orders for materials and oversee installing of the design elements.
- Practice site visits before, during, and after the project to ensure implementation quality.
- Communicate with structural engineers, mechanical engineers, consultants, and contractors to understand site limitations and cover any design flaws.
- Have an understanding and knowledge of building codes and inspection regulations.
- Produce designs, plans, and drawings for construction and installation. This may include floor plans, electrical layouts, and plans needed for building permits.
- Draft the preliminary design into documents that could be as simple as sketches or as inclusive as construction documents, with schedules and attachments.
- Follow up with the team on the progress of the works and design.

QUALIFICATION & KNOWLEDGE
- Minimum five years’ experience in a similar position with a year of supervising a team.
- BS degree in Interior Design or similar
- Understanding of data privacy standards.
- Deep understanding of business principles and practices.

- Proven working experience in decorating interior spaces (consultations, renovations, space planning, and new constructions)
- Expertise in layout, color, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture, and all installations.
- Excellent knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Able to use 2D and 3D software to convey the design.
- Excellent portfolio of previous works.
